A 5 minute walk along the riverside will bring you into Beddgelert which has a host of eateries and craft shops to tempt you.

Welsh Highland Railway
If your passion is the heritage steam railway then Cil y Felin is just right for you. The steam railway runs just behind the property and is a great opportunity to photograph these majestic trains revived from a bygone era. Beddgelert Station is just a mile away, you can travel directly by steam railway (in season) to either the harbour town of Porthmadog or take alonger journey to Caernarfon and it's majestic castle fortress.

Take the picturesque riverside walk to Beddgelert (or drive if you prefer) for a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants plus local attractions.
Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)
For the more adventurous there are a number of nearby routes to the top of the highest mountain peak in Wales and England.
Sygun Copper Mine
Walk a mile further along the Afon Glaslyn and you'll reach Sygun Copper Mine with self guided mine tours, activities, a museum, shop and cafe.

Snowdon Railway
Trains depart from Llanberis station and begin their climb 1085m to the summit of Yr Wyddfa, a journey to the highest point in England and Wales, experienced by some 12 million travellers since 1896.
Portmeirion Village
The beautiful Portmeirion Village was built by Welsh architect Clough Williams-Ellis from 1925 to 1973. It was used as the set of the 1960's British avant-garde social science fiction television series 'The Prisoner'.
